I remember most of this stuff, Gypsy you might remember some as well. He was at the medieval Fair every year along with countless other fairs and festivals throughout Sarasota. Later was called Pink Pancake House. The owner Mary used to drive around in a pink Caddy with two poodles both dyed pink! He was in all the local parades and he had a show on Saturday afternoons called Creature Feature.
At the end he would always say "I'll be lurking for you". Three schools were named after her.
The year I was born. I'm showing my age but WOW what a great collection of photos. I remember almost all of them. The good old days. I remember my first visit to 'Heidelberg' seeing the trampoline in the middle of the restaurant and the swings hanging from the ceiling.
Couldn't wait to see what that was all about. SRQ airport- Plane on the tarmack, exiting on a ladder mounted on a pickup truck or a exiting the rear on the drop down stairs [rain or shine]walking thru the small tin roof building picking up baggage on a table outside.
